Personal Measurements for Sewing and US/European Conversions
One of the most important things to know when sewing for yourself (or others) is measurements. This will allow you to make small adjustments to the pattern for long or short legs, larger or smaller bust or any of the other things that makes you — well, YOU. The below chart gives you a general idea of what sizes in patterns have equivalent measurements, but also allows you to keep a record of what your measurements are. You could even print one out for each member of your family as a reference for when you sew while they are gone. Download the PDF version below the image. You can also check out the other free printable sewing and quilting charts I have available.
